1. New Perspective Quarterly of the United States
New Perspective Quarterly is a unique opinion magazine originally from Hollywood, and has been widely read by opinion leaders in the world. It is considered to be at par with periodicals such as Foreign Affairs in the U.S.2. Global Viewpoint Los Angles Times Syndicate
This is the world's biggest political column being distributed to almost a hundred newspapers in the world. Some of the prominent figures, including US President Bill Clinton, Prime Minister Kohl of Germany, President Gonzalez of Spain, writer Solzhenitsyn, the late-President Salinas of Mexico, the Prime Minister Rao of India, Prime Minister Lee Kuan Yew, Vice-President Gore, President Yeltsin of Russia, President Nelson Mandela, President Mitterrand and Chairman Arafat, utilize this column as a means of expressing their opinions to the world.It has been collected and edited by New Perspective Quarterly upon the request of Los Angeles Times. Yomiuri is the one carrying it in Japan.

We invite foreign students from a country where going abroad is difficult to Japan. In 1998, we invited a college student from Yugoslavia to stay in Japan for three months. In 2000, we started inviting young folks from Myanmar, a pro-Japanese country of Asia, and holding an event called "Friendship Trip to Myanmar" with a view to enhancing the Japanese students to learn about Myanmar. For twenty-five years, we have been holding cultural exchange between the economic department of Chulalongkorn University of Thailand and Japanese college students.
